ANALISIS KUALITAS AIR LAUT DI SEKITAR AREA DUMPING SLAG ANDI MUH. Antam Pomalaa bertujuan untuk menentukan status mutu air laut di sekitar area dumping slag PT. Antam pomalaa. Penentuan status mutu air dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode indeks pencemaran (IP). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada 2 titik pada area dumping slag dan 1 titik yang tidak terkontaminasi dengan limbah slag digaris pantai dengan Perhitungan indeks kualitas air laut dilakukan dengan 2 parameter kimia yaitu pH, salinitas dan 4 Parameter logam berat yaitu Ni, Cu, Zn dan Cr6+. Hasil uji kualitas air laut dilakukan pada AAS (Atomic Absorption spectrophotometer). Baku mutu yang digunakan mengacu pada keputusan menteri lingkungan hidup nomor 51 tahun 2004 tentang baku mutu air laut untuk biota laut. Hasil analisis kualitas air laut dengan menggunakan metode indeks pencemaran (IP), status mutu perairan pada 3 titik berbeda di kategorikan cemar ringan hingga sedang, hasil dari pengujian parameter pH, Salinitas, Cr6+, Zn pada titik 1,2 tidak melewati ambang batas baku mutu yang di tentukan, pada titik 3 Cr6+ melewati baku mutu, sedangkan beberapa parameter seperti Cu, Ni pada titik 1,2 melewati ambang batas yang telah di tetapkan. Hasil analisis data pada 2 titik di sekitar area dumping slag menggunakan metode indeks pencemaran (IP) diperoleh cemar ringan hingga sedang, sedangkan air laut yang tidak terkontaminasi slag diperoleh cemar ringan. The slag is quite dangerous for the environment, especially the marine environment because the slag contains elements or harmful compounds such as heavy metals which is feared can be dissolved in water in the form of ions. This study aims to determine the status of sea water quality around the are dumping slag PT.Antam Pomalaa. Determination of the status of water quality werecalculated using the pollution index (PI). The return of samples are taken at 2 points on the area dumping slag and 1 points is not contaminated slag waste underlined the beach with index calculation sea water quality conducted by two chemical parameters namely pH, salinity and 4 parameters of heavy metals are Ni, Cu, Zn, and Cr6+. Sea water quality data used are secondary data obtained from the results of laboratpry tests FMIPA halu oleo university. The territorial waters of which are reviewed Pomalaa marine bio region. Quality standard that is used referring to the environment minister decision number 51 of 2004 on marine water quality standards. Sea water quality analysis results using the pollution indeks (PI), the status of water quality at 3 different points blackened categorized mild to moderate results from testing the parameters pH, Salinity, Cr6+, Zn in pont 1,2 does not pass the quality standard limits specified, at point 3 Cr6+ pass quality standards, while several parameters such as Cu, Ni at 1,2 point over the threshold that has been set, data analysis at two points around the area dumping slag using the pollution indeks (PI) optined blackenedmild to moderate, moderate sea water that is not contaminated slag obtained lightly blackened.
