Algae & Plants – Ganggang & Tumbuhtumbuhan
Algae are poorly differentiated seaweeds, which can be
green, brown or red.
Seagrass are higher plants, with specialised organs:
stems, leaves with veins, roots...
Ganggang laut sering di salah artikan sebagai rumput
laut, biasanya berwarna Hijau, Cokelat, atau Merah.
Rumput Laut merupakan tanaman laut yang lebih tinggi,
dengan memiliki organ khusus yaitu Batang, Daun yang
memiliki Tulang, Akar.

Cnidarians - Cnidaria
Basic structure: the polyp, a sort of sac closed by a
mouth surrounded with tentacles. Polyps can be solitary
(anemones) or colonial (corals).
Jellyfish live in open water.
Struktur Dasar : Polip, semacam kantung kecil yang
dikelilingi dengan tentakel dibagian mulut. Polip adalah
Jenis dari Soliter (Anemon) dan Colonial (Karang).
Ubur-ubur hidup di air lepas.

Numerous tiny holes to inhale seawater, and a few larger
outlets to exhale water after it has been filtered.
Memiliki banyak sekali lubang-lubang kecil untuk
menghirup air laut, dan beberapa lubang yang lebih
besar untuk menghembuskan napas dari air setelah di
saring.

Flatworms – Cacing Pipih
Long and very, very flat, with two sensory “horns” in the
front. Often very colourful.
Panjang dan sangat, sangat Pipih, dengan dua sensorik
“tanduk” di depan. Biasanya sangat berwarna-warni.
A soft body able to retract into a shell, which may be
lacking in some groups.
Bertubuh Lembut, bisa menarik tubuhnya kedalam
cangkang hanya bisa dilakukan sebagian kelompok saja.

Segmented Worms – Cacing Pita
Segmented body. Some live in a tube, and may have a
cluster of feathery appendages.
Bisa membelah diri. Beberapa diantaranya hidup dalam
tabung, dan beberapa diantaranya memiliki tubuh yang
berbulu.

Echinoderms - Echinodermata
The shell is a jointed armour which tightly envelops any
part of the body (including eyes, gills...).
Cangkangnya adalah armor bersendi terbungkus pada
setiap bagian tubuh (termasuk mata, insang…).
A five fold symmetry (less visible in sea cucumbers),
and small tube feet usually ending in a suction disc
(except in feather stars and brittle stars).
Berbentuk Lima simetri lipat (kecuali teripang laut), kaki
tabung kecil biasanya berakhir pada sebuah piringan
hisap (kecuali pada bintang berbulu dan bintang rapuh).

Cartilaginous Fish – Ikan Bertulang Rawan
Usually 5 pairs of gill slits; fins thick and fleshy.
Biasanya meliki 5 pasang insang bercelah, bersirip
tebal, dan berdaging.

Reptil, Burung & Mamalia
They breathe air. - Mereka bernafas dengan udara.
Turtles & Sea Snakes (Reptiles)

Bony Fish – Ikan Bertulang
Gills protected by a gill cover; fins thin with rays that
can be folded.
Insang dilindungi oleh penutup. Bersirip tipis pada ikan
Pari bias dilipat.
