KARYA SAKAE TSUBOI: ANALISIS SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah Novel Nijuushi no Hitomi karya Sakae
Tsuboi. Novel ini menceritakan tokoh Ooishi dan kedua belas muridnya yang harus
merasakan dampak dari Perang Dunia II. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah Novel
Nijuushi no Hitomi dirasa menarik karena mengangkat masalah sosial di Jepang pada
saat Perang Dunia II. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana
pendidikan di Jepang pada masa Perang Dunia II dan memperoleh pemahaman
adanya hubungan timbal balik antara cerita fiksi dengan kenyataan.
Novel ini dianalisis menggunakan teori sosiologi sastra Ian Watt. Metode
yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis. Teori dan metode ini
digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara cerita dalam novel, pengarang, dan
kondisi masyarakat.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya hubungan timbal balik antara fiksi
dengan realitas dalam Novel Nijuushi no Hitomi. Novel ini juga memiliki fungsi
sosial sebagai perombak masyarakat, pendidik, dan penghibur karena novel ini dapat
diterima oleh masyarakat luas.

REFLECTION OF EDUCATION IN NIJUUSHI NO HITOM BY SAKAE
TSUBOI: A SOCIOLOGICAL LITERATURE ANALYSIS

Novel Nijuushi no Hitomi by Sakae Tsuboi becomes the object of this
research. The novel tell about Miss Ooishi with her twelve students who get the
impact of World War II. The writer choses the this novel because of the story line.
The story line of this novel is interesting as it is about the social problem happened in
Japan while World War II. The purpose of this research is to find out how education
held during World War II in Japan and get understanding of the interrelationship
between fiction and reality.
The novel is analyzed using sociological theory of literature Ian Watt. The
method used in this research is descriptive analysis. The theory and the method is
used to analyze the relationship between the novel, the author, and the condition of
the people.
The results showed the reciprocal relationship between fiction with reality in a
novel Nijuushi no Hitomi. This novel also has a social function as altering the people,
educators, and entertainers for this novel can be accepted by the public.
