This tense form is one of the most basic tenses and is often used in writing and speaking in English. THE FORMULA OF FUTURE SIMPLE Function Formula - Subject + will/shall + Verb 1 + Object - Subject + be + going to + Verb 1 + Object Example - I will leave it. - I am going to leave it. Positive (+) - Subject + will/shall + not + Verb 1 + Object - Subject + be + not + going to + Verb 1 + - I will not leave it. Object - I am not going to leave it. Negative (-) - Will + Subject + Verb 1? - Be + Subject + going to + Verb 1 + Object? - Will I leave it? - Am I going to leave it? Interrogative (?) WILL AND BE GOING TO…. WILL Function : a. To submit a request / request. b. To show desire or unwillingness. c. To make an appointment. d. To show general facts. BE GOING TO Function : a. To show intention or purpose. b. To talk about events that are about to happen. c. To discuss the plans that have been made. THE FUNCTION OF FUTURE SIMPLE A. To make sentences more formal. B. To offer something should and may are commonly used in this context. C. To suggest activities carried out by speakers and listeners. FUTURE PROGRESSIVE Future continuous tense or future progressive tense is a form of a verb used to express an action that will be taking place at a certain time in the future. The action on the tense had started but wasn't finished at that point. THE FORMULA OF FUTURE PROGRESSIVE Function Formula Example Positive (+) - He will be studying at 7 a.m. S + will be + present participle (v-ing) - They will be attending Englsih + object class tomorrow Negative (-) - He will not be studying at 7 S + will + not + be + present participle a.m. - They will not be attending (v-ing) + object English class tomorrow Interrogative (?) THE FUNCTION OF FUTURE PROGRESSIVE Future continuous tense to indicate an action that will be happening at a certain time in the future. Time expressions that can be used include, among others, an adverb of time (phrase) or an adverbial clause of time. FUTURE PERFECT The future perfect tense is a tense that is used to denote an action or event that will have been completed at some point in the future and will be completed or occur before other activities are carried out in the future. To show work that has happened in the future. Usually used to convince other people, that at a certain time that has been determined, the work has been done. B. To show that a job has been done when another job or event occurs. FUTURE PERFECT PROGRESSIVE The future perfect progressive is a sentence used to express an ongoing or ongoing action.
