FABA Polymer Concrete Fly Ash and Bottom Ash Utilization as House Eco-Material ABSTRACT ECO-MATERIALS The Utilization of Fly Ash and Bottom Ash waste as Faba Polymer Concrete as Buildings Material. The Faba polymer concrete which is a mixture of Faba composition, cement, water, and polymer has the advantage that Faba polymer concrete is relatively stronger than conventional concrete, dry faster, and environmentally friendly. It could reduce the environmental impact of cement production and applied waste accumulation. Faba Polymer Concrete could be as a house material because it includes Material Resource and Cycle so it supports the environmental sustainability. Steam Power Plant becomes the main source of electrical energy because of the large number of coal mines and the low cost of production. But it has an environmental impact, which is fly ash and bottom ash (Faba) waste. For example, at the Paiton Power Plant, in one hour it consumed 250 tons of coal and produced 7.5 tons of fly ash and 2.5 tons of bottom ash. The high waste could endanger the environment and health because it contains chemical residues, such as SiO2, Al2O3, P2O5, and Fe2O3. In line with this, some research shows Faba waste meets the criteria as material that has Portland Cement character. However, according to the International World Energy Outlook 1995, Cement production accounts for seven percent of CO2 Greenhouse gases. Therefore, Faba waste which has a portland cement character can be utilized to reduce the waste and the use of cement. This problem encourages the transition from Conventional Concrete to Faba Polymer Concrete with the use of fly ash and bottom ash. The Faba polymer concrete which is a mixture of Faba composition, a bit cement, water, and polymer has the advantage that Faba polymer concrete is relatively stronger than conventional concrete, dry faster, and environmentally friendly. Faba concrete could be applied as a house material because it supports the concept of Green Building which one of the aspects is Material Resource and Cycle.
