In addition, the eruption that occurred some time ago was enough to shake the rocks at the top of the mountain. The condition is quite "irregular" on its peak rocks, it becomes its own uniqueness that attracts tourists who like to test their adrenaline to try to conquer Mount Sibayak until it reaches its peak. No need to worry, because the atmosphere at night will still amaze you. Plus the lights of the houses of the people who illuminate the sky of Mount Sibayak. For a moment it makes you feel like you're on the moon because of the foothold during the rocky climb. In addition to the beauty of the peak view, the flow of water from between the mountain rocks will greatly refresh you. Many residents use it as a source of drinking water. The water is cold and very clear. This is the main reason that the mountain water source that continues to flow has become one of the sources of water for "AQUA" brand bottled water. Inside this crater lies a rock with a sulfur crater covering an area of 40,000 meters. The content of solfatara makes it not stop spitting hot steam. The sloping part can be used as a place for you to rest for a while in a tent. CHAPTER II CONTENT 2.3 Mount Sibayak Location Mount Sibayak is located in the Karo highlands, Karo District, North Sumatra. The height of the mountain which is often the object of this climb reaches 2,094 meters above sea level. Administratively, this natural mountain forest is included in the Bukit Barisan Forest Park (Tahura) category. The highest peak of Mount Sibayak is named "Takal Kuda". This is the Karo language which means "Horse Head". The position of the peak coordinates is at 97 ° 30'BT and 4 ° 15 'LS. 2.3 Acces to Mount Sibayak Departing from the city of Medan, you will travel a distance of 77 km with approximately 2 hours to reach Berastagi. CHAPTER III CLOSING 3.1 Conclution Mount Sibayak is a mountain in Karo Regency, North Sumatra. The Karo people call Mount Sibayak the "mountain of the king". Mount Sibayak is a volcano and erupted last in 1881. This mountain is located around 50 kilometers southwest of Medan City. Now Mount Sibayak is visited a lot because of access to Mount Sibayak a lot starting Sibayak 1 and Sibayak 2. Every August 17 there is a routine ceremony on Mount Sibayak and climbing competitions of all nature lovers from various kinds and various directions. 3.2 Suggestion This paper that I compiled hopefully can help us to known more about the Mount Sibayak.
