TIPS ON MAKING CALL Attitude on making call is based on who is you’re going to call. If you want to call your lecturer or somebody who is older than you is different when you want to call your friends. TIPS ON CALLING LECTURERS 1. First, you have to prepare for what you are going to say. 2. Call them the right title. You can use Mr., Mrs., Miss, Sir, or Ma’am based on who you are going to call. 3. Don’t call them at night. Most people take a rest at night. It will disturb your lecturer and also it’s not polite. 4. Start with salam. You can use Assalamualaikum or good morning based on when you’re calling them. 5. Send them a message first. Before you’re going to call them, you have to send them a message to ask them if they’re busy or not, to introduce yourself and to tell them what you’re going to talk on phone call. 6. Go to a quiet place. If you are in a public place, there will be so much sounds and your voice will not heard clear. But if you really have to making call in crowded place, don’t use speaker because it will disturb everyone. 7. Talk politely. When you are talking to your lecturer is different when you’re with your friends. Don’t use a loud voice or even scream. 8. Be clear and concise. When you are calling your lecturer be sure for what you’re going to say and get to point quickly. 9. End your conversation with salam. You can use Wassalamualaikum or good morning, good afternoon based on time. Basically when you’re calling somebody, no matter it’s your friends or someone older, you have to talk politely.
