ABSTRAK Kehadiran pasar modal di Indonesia ditandai dengan banyaknya investor yang mulai menanamkan sahamnya dalam industri food and beverages. Semakin pesatnya perkembangan sektor makanan dan minuman ini diikuti dengan semakin tingginya permintaan akan kebutuhan masyarakat, sehingga membuat para investor perusahaan food and beverages membutuhkan dana dari sumber eksternal. Dana dari sumber eksternal dapat diperoleh melalui pasar modal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kinerja keuangan yang diukur dengan Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, dan Return on Equity terhadap Price Earning Ratio pada perusahaan food and beverages yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2008-2012. Data diperoleh dari ICMD (Indonesian Capital Market Directory) dengan periode waktu tahun 2008-2012. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini adalah 19 perusahaan dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 10 perusahaan dengan melewati tahap purposive sample. Teknik analisa yang akan dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda untuk memperoleh gambaran yang menyeluruh mengenai hubungan antara variabel satu dengan variabel yang lain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara bersama-sama kinerja keuangan yang diukur dengan Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, dan Return on Equity berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Price Earning Ratio pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor food and beverages periode 2008-2012, namun berdasarkan pengujian secara parsial variabel kinerja keuangan yang diukur dengan Current Ratio, Debt to Equity, dan Return on Equity masing-masing tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Price Earning Ratio pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor food and beverages yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2008-2012. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan bahwa variabel Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, dan Return on Equity dapat dijadikan pedoman, baik oleh pihak manajemen perusahaan dalam melakukan peningkatan kinerja keuangan khususnya pengelolaan modal, hutang serta kemampuan menghasilkan laba, maupun oleh para investor dalam menentukan strategi investasi. The more rapid development of the food and beverage sector is followed by the high demand for people's needs, thus making the food and beverages company investors require funding from external sources. Funds from external sources can be obtained through the capital market. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance as measured by the Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Equity and the price earning ratio on food and beverages companies listed on the Stock Exchange 2008-2012 period. Data obtained from ICMD (Indonesian Capital Market Directory) with the time period 2008-2012. Total population of this study were 19 companies and a total sample of 10 companies with a purposive sample passing phase. Analysis techniques that will be used in this study was a multiple linear regression to obtain a comprehensive picture of the relationship between the variables and the other variables. The results showed that together financial performance as measured by the Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Return on Equity significant effect on the price earning ratio in the manufacturing sector food and beverages the period 2008-2012, but based on testing in partial performance financial as measured by the Current Ratio, Debt to Equity, and Return on Equity respectively have no significant effect on the price earning ratio in the manufacturing sector food and beverages are listed on the Stock Exchange 2008-2012 period. The results of this study it is expected that the variable Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Return on Equity can be used as a guide, either by the management company in financial performance improvement, especially the management of capital, debt and ability to generate profits, as well as by investors in determining the investment strategy .
