PENGARUH POPULASI DAN JENIS KENDARAAN TERHADAP FAKTOR KEKUATAN
EMISI GAS BUANG ( CO )

Abstract
Vehicle highest contributor to air pollution: CO by 98.89%, 73.40% for NOx and HC by
88.9%. Air pollution comes from motor vehicle exhaust emissions from fossil conversion that
directly or indirectly lead to global warming, acid rain, smog. The purpose of this study to analyze
the exhaust emissions of vehicles produced (CO) on the road Sukunt and Gajah Semarang.
The formula used Q = n x (FE x k). The analysis showed: for Elephants roads, the highest
traffic volume of 302 vehicles / hour = 8114.4 pcu / hour. Breadfruit roads 1489 vehicles / hour =
863 pcu / h. CO emission peak of 0.364 grams / second (Jl. Elephants), 0.376 g / sec (jl Sukun).
The conclusion was that the vehicle CO emissions exceed the threshold, so that there should
be measures to reduce emissions such as CO traffic arrangements, transportation and land use
systems.

Abstrak
Kendaraan penyumbang pencemaran udara tertinggi: CO sebesar 98,89%, NOx sebesar
73,40% dan HC sebesar 88,9%. Polusi udara berasal dari emisi gas buang kendaraan bermotor dari
konversi fosil yang secara langsung atau tak langsung berakibat pemanasan global, hujan asam,
smog. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis emisi gas buang kendaraan yang dihasilkan (CO)
pada ruas jalan Sukun dan Gajanh Semarang.
Rumus yang digunakan Q=n x(FE x k). Hasil analisis menunjukkan: untuk ruas jalan
Gajah, volume lalulintas tertinggi sebesar 302 kendaraan/jam = 8114,4 smp/jam. Ruas jalan Sukun
1489 kendaraan/jam=863 smp/jam. Emisi CO tertinggi sebesar 0,364 gram/detik (jl. Gajah), 0,376
gram/detik (jl Sukun).
Kesimpulannya adalah emisi gas buang kendaraan CO melebihi ambang batas, sehingga
perlu ada tindakan guna pengurangan emisi CO seperti pengaturan lalulintas, sistem transportasi
dan land use.
