ABSTRAK
Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement (MVR) adalah prosedur bedah jantung di
mana katup mitral pasien diperbaiki atau diganti karena kerusakannya. Kerusakan
katup mitral meliputi Mitral Regurgitasi (MR), Mitral Stenosis (MS), dan Mitral
Valve Prolapse (MVP).
Fisioterapi pada pasien pasca operasi MVR yang sesuai yaitu latihan
aerobik. Latihan tersebut mengakibatkan peningkatan cardiac output, denyut
jantung, perubahan tekanan darah dan tekanan rata-rata arteri. Respon ini berasal
dari kontraksi otot besar yang merangsang otak untuk merespon dengan
menurunkan tahanan vaskuler.
Tujuan latihan adalah mengoptimalkan daya tahan system kardiorespirasi
dan otot untuk menunjang aktifitas. Latihan yang teratur dan cara berlatih sesuai
prosedur diharapkan dapat mencapai tujuan tersebut.

ABSTRACT
Mitral valve repair/replacement (MVR) is cardiothoracic surgery in which
the mitral valve of the patient be repaired or replaced because of the disease.
Mitral valve disease include Mitral Regurgitation (MR), Mitral Stenosis (MS),
and Mitral Valve Prolapsed (MVP).
Physiotherapy that suitable at patient post operation MVR is aerobic
exercise. Aerobic exercise increase cardiac output, heart rate, change of blood
pressure and mean arterial pressure. These responses come from the contractions
of big muscles that stimulate brain to give response to decreasing vascular
pressure.
The aim of the exercise is to optimize the endurance of cardiovascular
system. Regular exercise in appropiate way as told by procedure can achieved the
goal.
