PERANAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI SEBAGAI PENDUKUNG
MANAJEMEN LOGISTIK PADA PT TAJUR
Abstrak
Penerapan teknologi informasi di dalam suatu perusahaan sangat membantu
jalannya proses logistik. Seperti pengepakan barang, penyimpanan bahkan pada saat
pendistribusian barang ke pasar. Dengan adanya teknologi informasi, proses logistik
dapat berjalan dengan cepat, akurat dan lebih mudah sehingga proses logistik dapat
berjalan dengan lebih efisien dan efektif.Logistik pada PT Tajur merupakan bagian
terpenting dalam perusahaan ini. Walaupun perusahaan ini tidak melakukan proses
produksi dan pemasaran, namun perusahaann ini melakukan proses logistik. Seperti
melakukan pengangkutan barang jadi perusahaan lain, melakukan penyimpanan
barang yang akan atau yang sedang diangkut dengan baik, sampai akhirnya produk
tersebut dapat diantarkan ke kota tujuan.PT Tajur telah menerapkan penggunaan
berbagai teknologi informasi dalam kegiatannya untuk mempermudah proses logistik.
Penerapan penggunaan teknologi informasi PT Tajur dimulai dari penerimaan barang,
penimbangan barang, pembayaran biaya pengiriman barang sampai pada pengawasan
pengiriman barang. Dalam kegiatan operasional dan kegiatan pengiriman barang, PT
Tajur menerapkan berbagai teknologi informasi, seperti telephone, komputer, mesin
print, mesin fax,handphone, dan mesin timbangan digital DS - 560/DS - 1100.

ROLE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AS LOGISTIC
MANAGEMENT AT PT TAJUR
Abstract
The use of information technology in a company is very helpful for the way of
logistics process. Such as packing, storage and even during the distribution of goods
to the market. With the information technology, logistics process can be run quickly,
accurately and more easily so that the logistics process can be efficient and effective.
Logistic is an important part at PT Tajur. Although this company does not undertake
production and marketing process, but this company is doing the logistics process.
Such as transporting the finished products of other companies, to store the goods that
will be or are being transported well, until the product can be delivered to the
destination. PT Tajur had implemented various information technology in its activities
to facilitate the logistics process. The use of information technology at PT Tajur start
from the receipt of goods, weighing the goods, payment of shipping costs until
supervise the delivery of goods. In the operational activity, PT Tajur implement
various information technology, such as telephone, computer, printer, fax machines,
mobile phones, and digital scales machine DS - 560 / DS - 1100.
