made form fire. Everybody was frightened of him. One day, Batara Wisnu, the keeper god of universe
invited all the Gods and Goddess to the paradise. They were invited to drank Tirta Amerta Sari, the
sacred water from paradise. Anyone who drank the water would live forever. Batara Kala, who was
not invited got jealous. “I should get that drink. I wanna live forever!” he said. He secretly flew to
paradise and tried to cheated batara visnu by transfroming hisself as a God. Without realized it,
Batara Surya who was known as the Sun god and Batari chandra who was known as the moon
goddess saw him. “I’m going to report it to Visnu Batara” surya said. “Yeah, but we should carefully.
I’m afraid to Kala because he is very powerfull” Chandra said. And then they reported what Batara
Kala had done to Batara Visnu, the keeper god of universe.Batara Visnu took his weapon, Cakra, and
shot it to Batara Kala. It hit him on the neck. Batara Kala’s body was separated from head at once but
his head was alive because some of drink spilled over Batara Kala’s head. He was very furious with
Batara Surya and Batara Chandra. He swore to take revenge on them. “Surya.... Chandra... wait me! I
would swallow you!” Kala shouted. The giant, Batara Kala, then chased Batara Surya and Batara
Chandra. And hupppp. He swallowed them up. Then the enclipse happened. Batara Visnu protected
them by ordered the people on the earth to make a lot of noise when the enclipse occurs. Fortunately,
Batara Surya and Batari Chandra could escape from Batara Kala’s throat because he had no longer
his body.

believe it and they stay in house and pregnant women are told to hide under their beds to avoid Batara
Kala’s anger.Remember that the sun or the moon is swallowed by Batara Kala is just a
