1. Solution for ambulanting
a. How to help patients get out of bed to sit:
-
First explain to the patient about the procedure.
-
Second, Encourage the patient to place his hands beside his body, palms
facing down.
-
Third, nurses stood by the bed, then placed their hands on the patient's
shoulders.
-
Fourth, Help the patient to sit down and provide support / pillows.
don't forget to attach the patient's signpost to keep it safe.
b. Help patients move to other places using a wheelchair:
-
First, explain to the patient the procedure to be performed
-
Second, make sure the wheelchair is locked and bring the wheelchair
next to the patient's bed.
-
Third, the nurse stands facing the patient with both legs spread.
-
Fourth, encourage the patient to place both hands on the shoulders of
the officer and place both hands of the officer on the right and left sides
of the patient's waist.
-
Fifth, when the patient steps to the floor, hold the nurse's knee to the
patient's knee.
-
sixth, help stand up straight and walk to the wheelchair and when the
patient is sitting in a wheelchair adjust position comfortably.
2. Solution for toileting
Because patients hate the use of urinal bottles, nurses must help patients go to
the toilet, one way is for patients to walk on the wall:
-
First, teach the patient to sit on the bed.
-
Second, teach the patient to position his feet to touch the floor.
-
Third, encourage the patient to put his hand on the side of the body or hold
the nurse's palm.
-
Fourth, stand next to the patient and hold the palms and shoulders of the
patient.
-
Fifth, teach the patient to walk holding on to the wall as a pedestal up to the
bathroom.
-
Sixth, teach patients to sit on the toilet. don't forget to tell the patient to hold
on to the grab bar to be safer.
