STUDIES OF ANALYSIS OF VITAMIN C AND BETA CAROTENE LEVELS OF TAMARILLO FRUIT OF GRAFTING OUTCOMES BETWEEN TAMARILLO FRUIT (Solanum betaceaum Cav.) WITH LANCING FRUIT (Solanum mauritianum) ABSTRACT A research on studies analysis levels of vitamin C and β-carotene levels of a sample Tamarillo fruit grafting outcomes between Tamarillo plant with Lancing plant has been done. Analysis of the levels of vitamin C conducted by iodometric method, and β-carotene levels were calculated using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. From the research result showed that the levels of vitamin C of Tamarillo fruit is 1,596%, the levels of vitamin C of Lancing fruit is 0,401% and the levels of vitamin C of Tamarillo fruit grafting outcomes is 1,202%. While the levels of β-carotene of Tamarillo fruit is 208,95 ppm, the levels of β-carotene of Lancing fruit is 36,11 ppm and the levels of βcarotene of Tamarillo fruit grafting outcomes is 253,64 ppm. So, from this research can be concluded the vitamin C levels of Tamarillo fruit grafting outcomes decreased slightly. While the β-karoten levels of Tamarillo fruit grafting outcomes increased.
