Based on the graphic in the result, the daily growth rate of tilapia are not different within each treatment. Of course its gaining more weight during the maintenance period but the conversion of feed is not fully utilized by the fish. Why does that happen? Because the digestibility of the feed is very important and there’s several factor that influence this. Example : type of fish, nutrient content of feed, and digestive enzyme. Feed efficiency is also influence by cause by the environment which disrupt feeding behavior especially reducing food and the negative effect on feed conversion effiency. Temperature is crucial in fish culture. During the cultivation, the fish were kept in temperature of 26-33oC. Increasing the water temperature above 33oC can cause heat oxidative stress. Same thing for the dissolve oxygen, the depletion cause stress to the cultured fish. Dissolved oxygen during cultivation ranged from 3.9 to 7.4 mg / L which were in poor condition that is <5mg / L. This can be caused by the increasing temperature above 30oC because the journal stated, there is a inverse relationship between them.
