[<b>ABSTRAK</b><br>
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan sistem mlipir yang lahir dan bertahan dalam hubungan produksi
di wilayah pembangunan industri kayu lapis.
Pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan strategi studi kasus melalui teknik
pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan
data sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan sistem mlipir lahir dan bertahan dengan dukungan
hubungan-hubungan sosial dan ekonomi yang memberikan
keuntungan bagi aktor-aktor pembangunan industri, yakni sektor industri, elit lokal, dan masyarakat.
Meskipun terlihat mengalami perubahan ekonomi dari hubungan yang saling menguntungkan, masyarakat di
dalam sistem ini masih berada pada kondisi yang relatif belum sejahtera. Sistem mlipir yang sepintas
mengingatkan pada putting out system ini memiliki keunikan dibandingkan
dengan sistem produksi lainnya ditinjau berdasarkan karakteristik, proses dan hasilnya.;

<b>ABSTRACT</b><br>
The purpose of this study is to describe mlipir system which emerged and
perpetuated within relations of production in the plywood industrial development
area. The qualitative approach is applied in this case study through a detailed data
collection which is in-depth interviewing, observing and literature study. This
study found that mlipir system emerged and perpetuated with the support of social
and economic relations that provide benefits for the actors: industrial sector, local
elite, and society. People in the system still experienced poverty although it seems
that there are economic changes established by the mutual relations between the
actors. Based on its characteristics, process and outcomes, Mlipir System is unique
