PROTEIN KASAR JERAMI PADI DENGAN PENAMBAHAN BERBAGAI PROBIOTIK
SECARA IN VITRO”
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan September 2007 di Laboratorium
Kimia Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang dan Laboratorium Nutrisi Makanan Ternak
Universitas Brawijaya Malang.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecernaan in vitro selama 48 jam atau degradasi
jerami padi dengan penambahan berbagai macam probiotik terhadap kandungan serat kasar dan
protein kasar secara in vitro.
Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jerami padi varietas Bramu dan tiga jenis
probiotik yaitu mikroorganisme efektif (EM4), starbio dan bio feed. Alat yang digunakan
seperangkat alat untuk kecernaan in vitro, dan seperangkat alat analisa proksimat serat kasar dan
protein kasar.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan
rancangan percobaan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap menggunakan empat perlakuan dan tiga
kali ulangan, adapun variabel yang diukur adalah nilai degradasi serat kasar dan protein kasar.
Data yang diperoleh dari Rancangan Acak Lengkap dianalisa dengan analisa variansi, apabila
berpengaruh nyata atau sangat nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya interaksi yang sangat nyata pada degradasi serat kasar
(P<0,01) rata-rata hasil degradasi serat kasar pada perlakuan P0 (kontrol): 39,58%, P1 (jerami
padi + EM4): 57,12%, P2 (jerami padi + starbio): 71,1%, P3 (jerami padi + bio feed): 64,5%.
Sedangkan nilai degradasi protein kasar tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,01) nilai rata-rata pada
degradasi protein kasar pada perlakuan P0 (kontrol): 7,71%, P1 (jerami padi + Em4): 9,52%, P2
(jerami Padi + starbio): 10,20%, P3 (jerami padi + bio feed): 9,07%.
Perlakuan pemberian probiotik berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap degradasi serat kasar dan
perlakuan terbaik pada jerami yang ditambahkan dengan bio feed dan starbio masing- masing
64,5% dan 71,1%.
Penelitian ini disarankan untuk dilanjutkan secara in sacco untuk mengetahui laju degradasi
pemberian berbagai level probiotik pada level berapa yang memberikan hasil terbaik.

(CF) AND CRUDE PROTEIN (CP) OF PADDY STRAW WITH ADDITIONS PROBIOTIC
BY IN VITRO”.
The research was conducted on August to October 2007 in Feed and Nutrition Laboratory
Brawijaya University of Malang and Chemistry Laboratory Muhammadiyah University of
Malang. The aims of this research was to know 48 hours digestion or degradation of paddy straw
with various of probiotic addition which contents of crude fiber and crude protein by in vitro.
The material used in this research was paddy straw which kind of Bramu and three types of
probiotic were microorganism effective (EM4), starbio and bio feed. Tools that used were set of
equipments for degradation in vitro and proximate analysis of crude fiber and crude protein.
The design of this research was complete random design with the experime nt method or
treatment, which ways four treatment and three times repeating, whereas variable measured was
degradation of coarse fiber and coarse protein. Data obtained from complete random design
analyzed by variance analysis, if there were very real effect and continued by smallest real
different test (BNT).
The research result indicate that there were very real effects at degradation of crude fiber
(P<0,01) averages the result of degradation crude fiber in treatment P0 (control): 39,58%, P1
(paddy straw + EM4): 57,12%, P2 (paddy straw + starbio): 71,1%, P3 (paddy straw + bio feed):
64,5%. Meanwhile, the value of degradation crude protein was not real effect (P>0,01) value
average at degradation of crude protein in treatment P0 (control): 7,71%, P1 (paddy straw +
Em4): 9,52%, P2 (paddy straw + starbio): 10,20%, P3 (paddy straw + bio feed): 9,07%.
The treatment of giving probiotic have real effects in degradation of crude fiber and the best of
treatment in straw which added bio feed and starbio each others 64,5% and 71,1%.
The research can be suggested to continuing research by in sacco to know the level of rate
degradation giving probiotic to know in which level giving the best results.
