VARIASI ORFOLOGI PLANTAGO MAJOR L PLANTAGINACEAE PADA BEBERAPA KETINGGIAN TEMPAT A B S T R A K Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengamati morfologi Plantago major major L. dari dikenal berbagai sebagai ketinggian jenis tumbuhan tempat. Plantaqo yang mempunyai penyebaran luas dan variasi morfologi yang tinggi. Variasi morfologi ini disebabkan perbedaan ketinggian tempat tumbuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada beberapa ketinggian yang berbeda, yaitu pada ketinggian (700-800)m dpl, (13001400)m dli, (1800-1900)m dpl serta (2300-2400)m dpl. Parameter yang diamati adaiah organ vegetatif dan generatif. Parameter vegetatif yang diamati adaiah panjang daun, lebar daun, tebal daun organ generatif serta yang panjang diamati rambut adaiah pada daun. panjang Adapun perbungaan, panjang bulir, braktea, calyx, biji, serta diameter serbuk sari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat variasi morfologi Plantaqo major pada setiap ketinggian yang diteliti. Hasil analisis statistik juga menunjukkan perbedaan nyata , terutama Plantaqo major yang tumbuh pada ketinggian lainnya; (2300-2400)m sedangkan ketinggian dpi antara (1300-1400)m dengan Plantaqo dpi ketiga major dengan yang ketinggian tumbuh (1800-1900)m pada dpi menunjukkan banyak persamaan morfologi. (Plantaginaceae) from different altitudes. -----------------------------------------------------------Investigation on the morphology of Plantaqo major L. from different altitudes has been carried out. Plantaqo major has a wide distribution and great variation in morphology. This morphological variation tend to be influenced by the environmental factors of the different altitudes. Observations on Plantaqo major were conducted from several altitudes, 700-800 m, 1300-1400 m, 1800-1900 m and 2300-2400 m respectively. Morphological variations were studied on the vegetative and the generative organs. Vegetative characters were based on length, width, diameter and trichome of leaves, while generative characters were based on the scape, spike, bract, sepal, seed and pollen. The result showed that there were great variations on the morpholoy of vegetative and generative organs from the samples which were taken from different altitudes. Statistical analysis showed that Plantaqo major taken from 2300 - 2400 m had significant difference with othersamples from three other altitudes, while Plantaqo major which were collected from 1300 - 1400 m showed great similarities with Plantaqo major from 1800 1900 m.
