FORMULASI DAN EVALUASI ORAL DISINTEGRATING TABLET
LOPERAMIDE HCl DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN CROSSCARMELLOSE
SODIUM SEBGAI SUPERDISINTEGRAN
Intisari
Loperamide HCl adalah obat antidiare yang diberikan melalui oral
mengalami first-pass metabolism sehingga ketersediaan hayati oral hanya 0,3%.
Dengan dibentuknya oral disintegrating tablet Loperamide HCl memungkinkan
obat lebih efektif dalam terapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
pengaruh crosscarmellose sodium sebagai superdisintegran terhadap sifat fisik
ODT Loperamide HCl. Tablet diformulasikan dengan variasi kadar
superdisintegran croscarmellose sodium dengan konsentrasi 0,5%, 1,25%, 2,5%,
3,75%, dan 5 %. Metode pembuatan tablet dengan menggunakan kempa langsung.
Sifat fisik tablet diuji untuk mengetahui kualitasnya meliputi waktu hancur, waktu
pembasahan dan disolusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa semakin besar
konsetrasi crosscarmellose sodium, dapat menurunkan waktu pembasahan, dan
waktu hancur serta meningkatkan laju disolusi loperamide HCl. Formula dengan
konsentrasi croscarmellose sodium 5% menghasilkan ODT loperamide HCl yang
baik.

TABLET LOPERAMIDE HCL USING CROSSCARMELLOSE SODIUM
AS SUPERDISINTEGRAN
Abstract
Loperamide HCl is Antidiarrhoeal medicine provided through oral with
first-pass metabolism so the biological availability of oral only 0.3%. Oral
disintegration loperamide HCL tablet will allow drug effectively. This research
aims to know the influence of crosscarmellose sodium as superdisintegran to
physical properties of Loperamide HCl. Tablets were formulated with a variety of
levels of superdisintegran croscarmellose sodium with a concentration of 0.5%,
1.25%, 2.5%, 3.75%, and 5%. Tablet was prepared by direct compression method.
Physical stability of the tablets were tested include disintegration time, etting time
and disolution. The research showed that he increase concentration of
crosscarmellose sodium will decrease wetting time and disintegration time while
the disolution will increase. Formula with containing 5% croscarmellose sodium
get the best loperamide HCl ODT.
