ABSTRAK
Community Relations (hubungan komunitas) adalah proses kegiatan Public
Relations yang terencana, aktif dan berkelanjutan antara institusi dengan
komunitasnya untuk menjaga dan meningkatkan keadaan lingkungan demi tercapai
tujuan bersama. Community relations berhubungan erat dengan corporate social
responsibility (CSR) dan community development atau pengembangan masyarakat.
Community relations tidak dapat dilepaskan dari aktivitas corporate social
responsibility (CSR) yang sebaiknya mampu dilaksanakan oleh organisasi. CSR atau
tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan merupakan tindakan sosial yang dijalankan oleh
perusahaan sesuai etika bisnis perusahaan dengan tujuan untuk peningkatan taraf
ekonomi yang mengarah pada perbaikan kualitas hidup dalam lingkup internal
perusahaan. Meliputi pekerja dan keluarganya maupun lingkup eksternal perusahaan
yang meliputi komunitas lokal dan lingkungan sosial perusahaan.
Penelitian ini mengangkat aktivitas community relations yang dilakukan oleh
Humas PT. Persero Angkasa Pura I dalam rangka menjalin hubungan yang hamonis
dengan komunitas lokal. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peluang dan hambatan
yang dialami oleh Humas PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I, dalam menjalankan kegiatan
community relations.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa, program community relations yang
dijalankan oleh Humas PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I merupakan program fisik dan
non-fisik yang dapat dikelompokan lagi melalui dua pendekatan. Pertama, aktivitas
PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I, yang berupa charity. Kedua, aktivitas yang bersifat
long term goal melalui konsep kemitraan dan pengembangan masyarakat atau
community development. Inti dari program community relations yang dijalankan
Humas PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I menunjukan bahwa aktivitas community
relations yang dilakukan Humas PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I lebih dominan pada
aktivitas community relations dengan konsep kemitraan. Konsep ini menunjukan
adanya proses pemberdayaan masyarakat (community development). Riset ini juga
berhasil menunjukan bahwa Humas PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I telah mampu
menggunakan pendekatan community relations yang bersifat jangka panjang.

ABSTRACT
Community Relations is processing activity Public Relations which active and
have continuation between institutions with his community to take care and improve
situation of environment for the dealing with their community. This matter closely
related with corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community development.
Community relations cannot be discharged from activity corporate social
responsibility (CSR) which can be executed by organization. CSR or corporate social
responsibility is social action which run by company according to company business
ethics as a mean to improvement of economic level which instruct and repair of
quality live in the internal company scope . Cover the worker and his family and
scope external the company cover the environmental and local social community.
This research lift the activity community relations done by Public relations PT
(Persero) Angkasa Pura I for the agenda of braiding the harmonic with community
local. This matter aim to know the natural resistance and opportunity by Public
relations PT. Persero Angkasa Pura I in running activity community relations.
This research result showing that, community relations program run by Public
relations PT Persero Angkasa Pura I is physical program and non-fisik program to
group again through approach community relations to clearly activity of PT Persero
Angkasa Pura I, including charity and which have the character of long term field
goal through partner concept and development of society or community development.
Activity community relations PT Persero Angkasa Pura I also aim to weaken the
criticism of possibility will emerge and influence the company performance. Core of
community relations program Humas PT ( Persero) Angkasa Pura I showing that
activity PT ( Persero) Angkasa Pura I dominant to activity community relations with
partner concept. This concept showing the existence of process community
development. Research also succeed showing that Humas PT ( Persero) Angkasa
Pura I have been able to use the approach community relations which have the
character of long-rangely.
