2017 KODOKAN SUMMER COURSEⅠ
"Kata, Lecture and others"
1. Objective
The main content of “Summer Course I” is Kata which should be mastered by high dan
holders and is also an important requirement for dan promotion. Therefore, this is a
meaningful course for high dan holders including Judo instructors. Participants demonstrate
Kata on the last day of each course (A/B), and good performers will be awarded prizes.
2. Date
From July 14 (Fri) to July 21 (Fri) for 8 days

Katame no Kata (5 hours)
Ju no Kata (5 hours)
Kime no Kata (5 hours)
Kodokan Goshin-jutsu (5 hours)
Koshiki no Kata (5 hours)
Itsutsu no Kata (2.5 hours)
Lecture and Kappo (2.5 hours)
Kata Contest (5 hours)
4. Eligibility
Men: 4th dan and above as a general rule; Women: 2nd dan and above as a general rule
All participants must be a member of Kodokan
5. Cost
8,640 JPY (both A and B); 5400 JPY (either A or B)
6. Insurance
Kodokan does not provide any type of insurance. It is recommended that you take out
adequate insurance before leaving your home country. Kodokan will not be responsible for
any injury or loss or damage to your property.
